meet dr. blackburn
Dr. Blackburn completed dental school at UCLA. Even though it’s not a Texas school, it’s still ranked as one of the best dental schools in the country. While there he was the Student Body President, received the most distinguished scholarship awarded, published several articles on treating cleft lips, and graduated with honors. Clutch.
After graduating from UCLA, Dr. Blackburn headed to the Medical College of Virginia to complete a residency in orthodontics. While studying to become an orthodontist, Dr. Blackburn designed, patented and tested a new type of orthodontic bracket. Ask him about it! Oh, and he also got a master’s degree.
Dr. Blackburn appreciates the compliments that he looks young. But he’s treated over 2,000 kids and adults. Including hundreds of Invisalign cases! He coordinates with the Houston Medical Center on several complex surgical cases and gives lectures to other orthodontists on complex cases. He’s also done about a billion consults at the park, hallways at school, and at HEB for those curious moms who want to know when their kid should get braces.
Dr. Blackburn, his wife Gloria and their 4 awesome kids live in Cross Creek Ranch. He loves surfing but Texas waves are slightly less than ideal. When he has the chance, he likes to watch superhero movies, play dress up and hide-n-seek with his girls, and take trips to Costco.
meet dr. williams
Dr. Williams is a real Katy local and graduated from Cinco Ranch High School back in the day. After high school she attended Harding University where she studied biochemistry, molecular biology, and Spanish. It’s also at Harding that she met her future, rockstar racquetball player, husband!
She continued her studies at UT – Houston School of Dentistry where she published several papers on the correlation between missing teeth and certain types of cancer. Her research has earned her several international awards. During dental school, she also served as the Student Body President and took yearly humanitarian trips to South America to volunteer her services to people in need. You rock Dr. Williams!
After graduating dental school at the top of her class, Dr. Williams continued her orthodontic residency program at UT-Houston. She served as chief resident for 2 years and earned her Specialty Certificate in Orthodontics and an associated Master’s Degree.
Additionally, Dr. Williams survived a rigorous examination process to become a Board Certified Orthodontist! It’s something only 1 in 4 orthodontists ever accomplish. Again, awesome.
In a nutshell, Dr. Williams is amazingly talented, wicked smart, and one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet. She fits in perfectly at BFO and I know that you will love working with her!
