’Tis the season for giving, gratitude, and of course—grinning!
This holiday season, we put some extra sparkle in our smiles with two heartwarming events that brought our community together in a way only an orthodontist could dream of: a food drive partnering with Miller Dental and Katy Speech and Language to help Family Hope here in Fulshear Texas, provide Christmas dinner to those in need and a festive Patient Appreciation Day complete with a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus.
A Food Drive That’s Better Than Candy Canes
We all know that the holidays bring an abundance of treats, but this year, we also wanted to share the wealth in a way that would put a smile on everyone’s face—and we’re not just talking about perfectly aligned teeth! Our Winter Food Drive was a huge success, thanks to the generosity of our amazing patients and their families.
We collected bags full of non-perishable food items to support local families who need a little extra help this season. From cans of veggies to stuffing (good for braces-friendly meals, by the way), our collection bins were filled with everything you could need for a cozy holiday meal. And yes, we’re pretty sure the food will have everyone smiling as much as our patients with fresh new smiles after their braces come off!
Thank you to everyone who made a donation—you’ve helped spread more than just holiday cheer; you’ve helped brighten someone’s season in a way that would make even Santa’s grin a little wider!
Braces, Smiles, and Santa
Nothing says “perfectly aligned joy” quite like a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus, right? Our Patient Appreciation Event was the holiday highlight we’ve all been waiting for! And while Santa’s belly may jiggle like a bowl full of jelly, we promise he’s got some pretty straight teeth (he’s been using our floss recommendations).
Families joined us for a day full of fun, festive photos, sweet treats (braces-friendly, of course), and plenty of “Jingle Bells” joy. Santa and Mrs. Claus posed for photos, heard all the holiday wish lists, and kept everyone grinning from ear to ear. Honestly, if they were wearing braces, we’d say they’d both have perfect smiles in no time!
A Season of Smiles and Giving
Both of these events served as a reminder of just how amazing our community is—whether it’s through giving back to those in need or coming together for a little holiday cheer, this time of year is about much more than just straightening teeth (though we love doing that, too). It’s about the joy of sharing, helping, and making memories with the people who mean the most to us.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to the food drive, attended the Patient Appreciation event, or simply sent us a smile—your support means the world to us. As we head into the New Year, we’re already planning more ways to bring joy, laughter, and, of course, beautiful smiles to our community.
Looking Ahead: More Smiles in 2025!
We’re grinning from ear to ear (yes, that’s the orthodontic way) as we reflect on a wonderful year—and we can’t wait to share more events, smiles, and good times with you in 2025. Stay tuned for some more exciting activities and ways to show off your braces-tastic holiday spirit!
From all of us here at Blackburn Family Orthodontics, we wish you a season full of laughter, joy, and, of course, perfect smiles. Let’s make the New Year even brighter (and more aligned) than ever!
